Wow, I jumped off the "let's blog everyday and actually keep everyone updated" boat. Sorry to leave ya all hanging...assuming that you all were in pure agony that you haven't heard from us lately. :) The new year has brought fun things as Axel has discovered his toes, his tongue, and his rolling ability. So, lately, as in the past couple of weeks, he has blown up the back and front in every single poopy diaper, is far from sleeping through the night, and is onery as all heck. But the pieces all fit together in this puzzle when on Valentine's Day I reach in his mouth to pull out a chunk of paper and feel something sharp...yes he has cut his first tooth. I must say it is easier to have more patience with him now that I know he is not just being a little pill. :)
One experience with the blowouts was Sunday. We were at a fireside and I smelt it...I looked at Eli and he volunteered to go take care of it. He was suspiciously exhuberant, especially since he's the one with a weak stomach. I gladly let him take Axel out to change him. A while later he comes back holding Axel's pants in one hand and Axel in just his onesie with a paper towel wrapped around his bottom. Apparently Axel spared Eli the horror of cleaning up his back but had messed himself good up the front. We quickly changed his onesie and finished cleaning him up. Since Sunday Axel is now known as the Big Duker.
Eli also got to go riding the Harleys with his dad and brother down in Mesquite for about a week. It was very dissappointing that it rained for three days of the trip, but they still did get some riding in. He almost got plowed off his harley but he looked up just in time to see a huge semi tire hub cap and all bounding down the highway. He dodged it just in time. So, luckily he returned home to me in one piece. It has been one priceless moment after another.

Velvet!! so happy to see you back on the blogging bandwagon.
your wee one is so cute -- even if he is "the big duker"!!
Glad your back! Axel is a cutie! I have my flight booked for Kim's wedding so I'll see you in May!
I love that story about the blowout!! Hilarious! Wrapped in a papertowel. We've had a couple of doozies too. It's morbid to wish that I could have pictures of such stressful moments. I'm glad he got his teeth through. I hope you get some sleep.
Hey it was good to see you the other day at the store! Hope you hit the good sells :D Your little boy is a cutie!
