Here comes Santa Clause

Check this out Sunshine, I am finally updating our post. Thanksgiving vacation took us home to Grace for ten days. It was a nice break, but we have an even nicer break coming up in a week and a half. School will be out finally, and we'll get to head home again for Christmas. We tried to get a picture of Christ in the back of our family pic. He is afterall the true meaning of Christmas.

Our family Christmas party consisted of Axel's first sit on Santa's lap. As you can tell he was thrilled. He had the ultimate death grip on Santa's beard. It is so exciting to experience all of his firsts with him...soon to be his first Christmas ever.

Parenthood continues to be the awesomest ever. It's complete now with Axel discovering his voice, (especially during Sunday School) and spending hours in the jumper and loving every minute of it. He'll stay in there so long until he goes into a comatose state just staring barely blinking and eventually falls asleep, usually as he is sucking on the front of it...hence the big drool mark. Over Thanksgiving, I got worried about the blood flow to his cheeks so I took him, jumper and all, and laid him in the pack and play. The big red marks across his cheeks reminded us of the joker scars on batman.."why so serious?" Maybe that is how he got his scars afterall...hours sleeping in a baby jumper. If you look close you can see his red marks.

We've decided he is a cat napper. He'll sleep for five or ten minutes and be good for hours on end. I don't know how the kid lasts so long on so little sleep. He is now four months old and I think that it is finally time we move him up to 3-6 month clothes. He is growing by leaps and bounds. So, we are counting down the days to school being out and christmas arriving.

The Jumper

We decided it was time to put the wiggle worm to the test in the jumper. He seems so small but would sit and jump on our laps, so we figured he might be ready. Axel went to town when we put him in it. He looks so tiny in that thing but loves his time in the jumper. All I can do is crack up watching him. I could sit and just watch him do that all day. It's crazy how fast they grow up.

A little Brewhaha

The littlest thug of the family won us the best costume at our ward Halloween party. Maybe a bit ironic that we went to the ward party dressed as a family of gangsters, but we were greeted with lots of laughs. I know I couldn't stop laughing when we got his whole ensemble put together. The wave cap, the mustache, and the mini bling was all too perfect. Axel just had this blank look on his face, oblivious to us exploiting his good looks. The great thing was Eli already had all of the stuff from his mission in Detroit. The do rags, ghetto gear, and jersey were all authentic. Except for his mustache, I did enhance it with the ole eyeliner. One halloween we'll never forget.

Our little family

So, this is us. Our little family is growing. Axel joined us on July 26, 2008 and changed our world forever...for the better, of course. We couldn't wait for the stork to arrive bringing us loads of happiness and poop. Bet ya can't guess Eli is a farmer. All in the John Deere get up, we are a true blue Idaho family.
Don't you love Axel's little belly hanging over his pants. He's our son alright.
