Baby #2
So, if you draw you're attention to the right you will see the gadget that resembles an alien life form..yes that would be our good news. We are having Baby #2! So, I was going to take a picture of my pregnant belly and post it for all to see....NOT. Not that I am opposed to pregnant belly pictures..but when your right out of the shoot (aka first prego) and there is no belly except the spare tire I've been sporting around then no one wants to see that. Anyways, we are beyond excited, so I thought I would share the news so you could be excited with us.

Karaoke Baby!
Nothin' brings out people's true colors more than a little bit of the ole karaoke....at least in our family. For instance, I find that I suck pretty bad, Eli is classic....Travis, Sunny's husband, is a king of karaoke, with Sunny putting on a good show, even my dad stepped up to the mic to sing a few ballads..and then we reach Tennille, the ultimate all time performer...going all out with the shoes, the makeup, the hat, and even the dress (don't worry that is one of 9 year old McKammen's dress up clothes that not only fits Tennille but she looks rather nice in) singing none other than a patriotic song. Yes, this is quiet, shy Tennille to the world yet to us she is far from that. I only wish the world knew the Tennille we do. She's honestly the best ever! Here is a mere glimpse.

A Winter Bonfire
We've been cooped up in the house too long, so Brandon and his new girlfriend Marlee planned for us to go with them to the ice caves and have a bonfire. Apparently, however, the ice caves are closed during the winter time...seriously I mean come on it couldn't be treacherous or anything right? ;) It gets pretty slippery in the summertime, so I could only imagine. We were disappointed but decided to do a bonfire instead up by R mountain. The upside is we got to take Axel with us. I have to explain something about Rexburg, they only sell snow boots from size 7 and up. Really? Well, except Payless and they conveniently sell Axel's size for a mere $40. No thanks. So, we made do with what we had..which was....his shoes, and plastic bags over them. But when we got there it was colder than we thought, so I found a random pair of Eli's socks in the truck and we put them over his shoes then the plastic bags. It was pretty redneck. To make it worse the other couple there thought he only had on socks the whole time. What kind of parents they must have thought we were. So, yes he did have his shoes on under those huge socks.
Regardless, Axel had fun and so did we.
All the fam.

Our trip to Oregon
One thing you never want to hear while you are on a road trip....
" Does it still smell like puke back there?"
Other than that Axel did pretty good on our trip. It was about 12 hours and we left in the afternoon so he would sleep at night. He was quite the die hard. Of course we had Mary Poppins playing on the DVD player. Whoever invented that deserves a big fat kiss on the forehead. So, we went to Oregon for Thanksgiving sorry I'm a bit slow on the blog...
One of the rare moments of Axel on the road with his eyes and mouth closed..notice that it is still day time...what a tender mercy!
All of us enjoying chinese dinner at PF Changs the night before thanksgiving. What a good looking group.
Axel with the prize-winning face that he pulls whenever he sees me pull out my camera. Brinley, Tennille's little girl, looks a lot less camera shy. :)
We got to go to Rosy's wedding. She was a sister missionary in Detroit serving with Eli. They looked so happy. We really dressed up for the reception as you can see. I am the marshmellow on the right. You've gotta love those big ole coats. I had on my Twilight shirt so I was forbidden by Eli to take the coat off. :) (We did look fancier for the actual wedding)

And of course my mom and sisters that were in Oregon at the time..(we missed you lots Sunny) went to New Moon. Mariah got the shirts. I have to say I am not one of those obsessed ladies whom after reading the book, came home to her husband saying I'm going to my mother's house because I need to rethink our relationship since you aren't like Edward. (Don't worry that really happened!) But I like to have fun with my sisters and I like sentimental things so I was in. Yep, that's us...team jacob. It is actually pretty funny. So again for the record, I am very happily married. And I recognize that Edward Cullen along with Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice were just robots sent from the future to destroy womens' perceptions of men. Good times, good times.

My birthday
Celebrating 25 Years
November 14, 1984-November 14, 2009
It was a wonderful day that consisted of Eli blowing off his homework, at my request, so we could spend the day together watching Smallville, since we are pretty much obsessed right now, and eating at Five Guys Burgers and Fries (which is THE BEST burger joint ever) with our friends Amy, Arthur, and Mia (just kidding Amy) Maya. They even treated us to Cold Stone ice cream. It was a great relaxing day. Cause now that I am so old I can't do a whole lot that I used to besides just resting and relaxing...just kidding. Eli was the best though, he did all the dishes and cleaned our house while I was gone to a meeting the next day. He said he was just earning "velvet bucks" which I am sure he has enough to start his own bank. It was a great day with friends and family.

All Hallows Eve
This year the festivities consisted of a late afternoon ward trunk or treat partay! We LOVE halloween, so of course we all dress up. This year's theme was centered around Eli's brilliant costume. Rummaging through the old Williams Ward Church building before it was torn down, he happened to come across an old Williams Ward basketball jersey. The scary thing is that it was a legitimate uniform...it was actually worn in public. It would have been classic without the T-shirt and spandex underneath, but for the sake of the ward members we thought maybe it would be a good idea to indeed wear the spandex. It turned out to be pretty chilly so it was a good thing. So, Eli is the 70's basketball player, I'm the 70's cheerleader, and Axel is the ref.
It was a great Halloween.

That's the love of my life right there. Where was he all of my life?
One happy, but really wierd and gooberish-type family!!

all about the fam
First of all I do have an excuse for not updating for so long...actually a couple of excuses. Our upstairs neighbors who we shared internet with, moved so our access is very limited. Next excuse: I got the swine flu! Poopy, I know. I was followed by Eli getting only the tiniest degree of the flu because his immune system is very similar to Superman's, then finally Axel got the flu. So, we have been quarantined in the apartment for the past two weeks. I'm still fighting the runny nose and cough unfortunately but everyone is doing great.
So, back to life. All of the hubbard women got together in Salt Lake. I discovered that I have not grown out of my characteristic of being prone to car sickness. I made the mistake of sitting in the back from Rexburg to Grace. I haven't sat in the back Forever! Which is obvious because I thought I had out grown getting sick. So, by the time we got to Bailey's, I lost my breakfast. Finally by Brigham City of sitting in the front of the truck, I was feeling better. I guess it isn't all bad, I was guaranteed a front seat permanently. Then Melissa has the longest legs, so she got the front too. So, there you have the sister in laws in the front with our dear mother in law and all of the sisters in the back. It was a great trip though. We ate at Olive Garden and stayed up late chatting. A true girl party. Plus, since it was ALL of the Hubbard women, I finally got to put a face with a lot of names I remember from wedding presents and thank you cards but had never met. It is a great blessing to be a tight knit family.

Everyone posing at olive garden. What we have to wait for a table for seven? I can't believe those aren't readily available! ;)
All the sisters in the back. Lora took the front with me for a bit while we were driving in Salt lake.

I am a mom, so, of course, I have to say something about the snicklefritz. Lately his thing is getting in the dish drainer and having to have BOTH scubbers. Heaven forbid if I take one away to do the dishes...it often produces a full on melt down.

Good news is I finally found another movie he will watch besides mary poppins. ...drum roll...hocus pocus! That Bette Midler is quite the charmer I guess.
